Suvarnaprashan Pushya Nakshtra Dates & Time for 2017
Ayurvedic Suvarnaprashan also called as Swarna Bindu Drops, Gold Drops, Immunity Drops, Suvarna yukta Drops, etc is a Ayurvedic medicine prepared on pushya nakshatra with Suvarna Bhasma, Bramhi, Shankhapushpi, Vacha, Amla, etc in pure cow's ghee & raw organic honey. None of the artificial chemical preservatives usually found in syrups & pediatric medicines are used in preparation of this medicine & yet it never gets spoilt. Such is the legacy of Ayurveda.
Suvarna prashan sanskar is one of the 16 essential rituals described in Ayurveda for children. It is one of the most important Ayurvedic oral vaccination which should be given to every child.
Suvarna prashan can be given to any child between the age group of 1 month -16 years.
Suvarna prashan can be done daily early in the morning empty stomach between 6am-8am, or at least on every Pushya nakshatra- an auspicious day- which happens to come after every 27 days, given on this day it bestows excellent benefits.

For Children Taking SuvarnaPrashan For the First Time :-
For children under the age of 5yrs & children having it for the 1st time, its recommended to give them Regular Suvarnaprashan rather than the concentrated suvarnaprashan given only on Punshya Nakshatra (once a month). This has to be given daily in dosage of 1 drops. Since children under the age of 5yrs have a weak digestive system , its recommended to use the regular suvarnaprashan so as to ensure proper digestion & absorption of all the herbs, thus giving them all the proper benefits. For children more than 5yrs of age & taking suvarnaprashan for the 1st time , its recommended for them to take regular suvarnaprashan for 9 months & then switch over to once a month dose. Regular suavrnaprashan ensures proper absorption & tunes up the digestive process.
Why Suvarna Prashan Should be given early morning empty stomach ?
Suvarna Bhasma is a main ingredient of SuvarnaPrashan. Children already have a weak digestive power & it gets difficult for many children to digest this basma. Early morning, in empty stomach, the Jathar-agni
(fire element in the stomach) is very strong & hence it helps for the proper digestion & absorption of the medicine.
Is it better to give Suvarnaprashan Daily or only once a month on Pushya Nakshatra ?
Normally children of today have a weak digestion. Hence giving a daily dose of Suvarnaprashan early morning empty stomach ensures proper absorption of medicine as well better results. Also even if a dose is skipped for a day or two it wont hamper the results.
